Hello! Nice to meet you. My name is Jordan Danly, I am a mom, spouse, live music lover, zoo member, and foodie. I have been in private practice for over 5 years and I love what I do. I feel very fortunate to have found a vocation where I can use my strengths to help others in their own lives. I am grateful for the amazing people who have shared their fears, hopes, and revelations with me over the years.

I received my Master’s degree in Marital and Family Therapy from The University of San Diego in 2013. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from The University of Pennsylvania in 2007 with a double major in Psychology and Sociology.

I completed my marriage and family therapy traineeship at UCSD Outpatient Psychiatry where I gained experience working with individuals with severe mental illness including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depression, PTSD, and anxiety. I continued my career in outpatient mental health at the Douglas Young Wellness and Recovery Center where I worked with individuals of all ages and cultural backgrounds.

I have received specialized training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Couples Therapy (Gottman L1 trained), Gender Therapy, Trauma Therapy (Prolonged Exposure & Seeking Safety), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and crisis intervention.

I am an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist and a true ally for the community. This means I am focusing on the comfort of my client and I recognize and support an individual’s unique gender identity and/or sexual orientation. In addition, I understand the specific mental health issues and barriers that LGBTQ+ folks face and I keep myself up to date with education and research that impacts the community. I also support all types of relationships, monogamous, kink/poly, a-sexual etc.

I promise to create a safe, warm therapeutic space that welcomes a collaborative therapeutic relationship. I believe that all individuals have the capacity for change and growth and I will help guide you towards finding meaning and creating a life worth living.
